Radius Sanding Block

Our 8" long radius sanding blocks are made in-shop. We laminate poplar, cut to 8" length, and then shape to popular sizes. All blocks are sanded and ready to go. Great for fret and refret jobs, as well as making fingerboards.

We stock 7 1/4", 9 1/2", 12", 15", 16", and 430mm(Ibanez) radii. Custom radii and lengths available (maximum workable radius is 20"). Let us know what kind of block you need and we'll try to accommodate.

Occasionally there may be a 2-3 day delay between ordering and shipment due to fabrication times. This is not normal, but does happen periodically if someone orders a size that we don't immediately have in stock. Any length over the standard 8" will require 2-3 days fabrication time.

I ordered a standard size (16" radius, 8" long). I have several other sanding blocks from other suppliers and was pleasantly surprised to find that the ones from GPC are slightly wider (maybe 1/4" or so) than the others I have. May not be a big deal for most, but on a wide 5-string bass neck, the GPC block spans the entire fingerboard, where the others don't. The poplar seems like it will be plenty durable, although it is slightly softer than a wood like maple. Overall, really nothing to complain about with these sanding blocks - they do what you would expect .

Got my new radius block (430mm) and it is perfect. Exact radius for my Ibanez. The width seems to be wider than some other blocks I have had in the past which is a plus.
